Mastering Front & Back Levers: Understanding The Press & Shift Concept

Leg drop instantly? Por Qué?!

Let's be honest - most people want to learn front & back levers because they look impressive. But if you've tried these moves, you've likely experienced the frustration of your "legs dropping" the moment you try to extend them. Sound familiar?

The Hidden Truth Behind Front & Back Levers

Here's what many don't realize: the key to successful levers "isn't" about how far you can extend your legs.

The Real Focus should be on:

• Upper Body Pressing Depth (straight arm extension)

• Body Positioning and Control

How: Understanding Press & Shift

Imagine a triangle formed between your arms and body. The goal is to:

1. Press downward (narrowing the triangle)

2. Shift backward (maintaining balance)

Remember: The exact angles will vary based on your body proportions and weight, but the principles remain constant.

What: Practical Applications

Exercise 1: Advanced Tuck Press

This develops what we call "Isometric Strength" in dynamic way:

• Focus on maintaining knees above elbow level

• Practice overcoming downward pressure

• Advanced variation: transition to back lever

Tip 2: Grip Modification

For better control, especially in back lever, start with a narrower grip. This helps:

   - Lock upper body position

   - Prevent sudden drops

   - Reinforce chest-up position

   - Develop proper backward shift

Key Training Points to Remember:

1. Focus on quality over progression speed

2. Maintain straight arms throughout

3. Build strength in basic positions before advancing

Remember: Everyone's journey is different. These skills take time to develop, but with proper understanding and consistent practice, you CAN achieve them! ______________________________ About Us:
