From Nerves to Growth—My Young Coach Journey in Vulnerability

Don't worried about failing, and that you'll learn to enjoy the journey.
When I first started as a young coach (still young now), I'm always overwhelmed.
In my early teaching days, I suffered from a common trait: I over-worried about whether the movement difficulty was too hard or too easy for my students. This constant overthinking severely reduced my engagement and eventually disrupted my explanation fluency. I was so focused on the perfect plan that I almost lost my connection with the people in front of me.
But true growth happens when we allow ourselves to be imperfect.
Over time, I discovered that a successful session does not rely on a flawless speech. Instead, it boils down to two core elements of actual utility and group vibe:
Actual Utility: Helping students directly achieve their physical training goals. When members experience real progress, their physical development becomes self-validated.
Group Vibe: Fostering student interaction and group cohesion. Once you feel the exclusive DAILYCALI Passion, you naturally fall in love with our community.
My Secret Recipe: The 3-Dimensional Session Design
To put this mindset into practice, I blended my previous social work elements (social work elements) and extracted three core dimensions from my self-created Five-Dimensional Framework to design our sessions:
1. Technical Section: We select movements with high actual utility. In this phase, we accept that repetitive explanations are needed, even if the structural fluency is lower.
2. Challenge Section: We choose highly engaging movements that boost the group vibe. The primary metric of success here? Your smiles!
3. Conditioning Section: We select movements with high utility and moderate difficulty. Though it can feel repetitive or boring, it ensures the core pillar of the class remains uncompromised.
Yet, this is not a rigid plan. Ultimately, a great coach must observe students' real-time reactions and flexibly adjust the weights of these dimensions.
Embracing The Day One: Keep Asking Yourself "How to coach?"
Looking back, everything comes down to three simple pillars:
Learning
Experience Accumulation
Preparation

I still vividly remember my first days—being completely terrified, blushing with teeth shaking (It's real), and feeling my heart race. I actively choose never to forget that raw feeling. It stays in my heart to remind me exactly where I started this wonderful journey.
To wrap this up, I want to thank all DAILYCALIs from the bottom of my heart.
